Image 1: Albert Potter in 1915 aged 23. Albert survived Gallipoli but was wounded in the first Battle of Gaza on the 19th April 1917. He also appears to have fought in the second Gaza battle in November 1917. He was later discharged as the leg wound never healed and in 1927 his left leg had to be amputated.

Image 3: Robert Potter in 1916 aged 25. Robert fought at the Battle of Fromelles in July 1916 and the Battle of Cambrai November 1917. On the 3rd December 1917 he was reported missig after La Vacquerie fell following a massive german counter attack.  He had been taken prisoner and was repatriated home on Christmas Day 1918, sadly too late to see his father who had died in September.
